Yes, all our cabinets are made with solid wood doors with 3/4″ plywood constructed boxes. No compressed woods or particle boards are used.

Our granite is 2cm thick, with 4cm laminated edges.

Clean stone surfaces with a few drops of neutral cleaner, stone soap (available in hardware stores or from a stone dealer), or mild dishwashing liquid and warm water. Then using a soft, clean cloth to clean the granite. Rinse after washing with the soap solution and dry with a soft, clean cloth.

A. Start with the first wall on the left and work to your right around the room. First, measure the overall length of each wall in your kitchen.

B. Indicate all breaks in walls (windows) by measuring from the corner to the outside edge of the molding. and also indicate any permanent appliances.

C. Measure to center line of plumbing, ducting and outlets. Compare measurement “A” against the total for measurements “B”. Finally, measure the height of refrigerator so that we can adjust the height of cabinet above the refrigerator.

Measure the width of the available space and indicate sizes that against wall. Take into account the space necessary for cabinet doors and drawers to open. Consider door clearance and toilet location when designing your bath and make sure that a 21” deep bathroom vanity will work in your available space.

J & K does not reface cabinets. The reason that we don’t reface cabinets is that the cost of doing this is very close to price of buying the whole cabinet.

Yes, we do sell the glasses for glass door frames and mullion cabinets.

Minor door alignment can be corrected by adjusting the hinges. Generally, when you open the cabinet door, you will find the side-to-side adjustment slot on the door part of the hinge and the up-and-down or left-and-right adjustment on the frame portion of the hinge.

If you are using frameless European cabinets or framed cabinets that have upper retractable cutting boards, you will need to raise the granite ¾ inch to clear the double bull-nose which hangs down ¾ inch. Plywood is a cheap and easy way to do that.

For cabinets, we ship them knocked-down or unassembled in boxes on a pallet and pallet is wrapped with plastic wrap.
